VLSD...having trouble

I have a '93 fastback and my VLSD is not working anymore...I did donuts, burnouts and everything was fine but 2 weeks ago, I tried to donut and I looked like an idiot tryin to donut but not being able to...!I changed my oil (Royal Purple 85-140, previously, I was running 75-90...) and nothnig changed... Do you guys think I've blown my diff. or what???And by the way, if I find a 240 or J30 VLSD, is the '75'' shorter going to give me trouble (I'm non-abs)THANKS A LOT GUYS!!!
