I searched and found some relavent threads, but I wanted to get a bit more info on the subject than what I have seen posted. If there are any relavent threads out there, that I missed, by all means, link me to them...

Anyway... I just purchased a jdm VLSD with 5 bolt shafts, and I am getting ready for the installation... I was planning on using Royal Purple gear oil, as I have had nothing but good experiences with the Royal Purple brand... I have heard people say to use 75w-90, 80w-90, etc... Does anyone else have any suggestions?... BTW, i use this car for Autocross and drifting, so there will be a lot of wear on the diff...

Also, I am installing a diff for the first time... I was wondering if a regular jack would be sufficient, or if i should find a transmission jack?...

Thank you for your time...

80w-90, synthetic is best, regular jack is fine.

Regular cheap Costal 80w-90 works for me.
