If you look on your differential and it has a orange sticker, you have a VLSD. One way to check it: lift up your whole backend, rotate one side of the wheels, if both wheels rotate, you have VLSD. Very few cars in the United States comes with VLSD (rare), but most Nissan imported vehicles come equipped with VLSD in Canada. Next time, try the search button, plenty of same topic about VLSD.

Not sure on the direction of the rotation, but my favorite way would be to go do a burnout, and see if you left 1 (no lsd) or 2 (yay! lsd!) tire tracks.

It won't matter which way the wheels rotate, as long as they both rotate at the same time in the same direction. If I were you I won't bother doing the burn-out as mentioned by "jjg25". What a dumb thing to do. Hurt your engine and wear your tires just to check if you have VLSD.

I never said it was smart, just my favorite =)

C'mon man - tell me you've never done a burnout, and chastise me all you like.

VLSD: both wheels rotate the same direction when you turn one and the transmission is in gear. open rotates opposite directions. VLSD shoudl also have an orange tag on the differential somewere.
