I have a 90 240sx and I just replaced my old open diff with a vlsd diff i bought off of ebay. When i'm driving forward for backward, fast or slow, my car feels very normal. But when i make a left or a right turn, i hear a very loud clacking or clicking coming for the rear end. So i jack the rear end up and spin the wheels and both wheels spin like it should. But when i set one tire on the ground and spin the other wheel, it still spin but with resistance. i have changed the fluid before i install it. Can anyone tell me if the vlsd i bought off of ebay is bad or could it be something that i can do to fix the noise? Does a vlsd becomes an open diff when is it bad? Any suggestions would help. Thanks in advance.

Did you use a LSD additive to the gear oil when you put fluid in your differential?

The spider gears are probably abnormally worn.

No. I did not use any lsd additive. I use valvoline 80w90 synthetic blend gear oil. the bottle said that it can be use for lsd.
