Yes...
The problem w/ vlsd is that most of the ones ppl run are 1xx,xxx miles, which means they won't perform as well.
Also, because it's viscous, one wheel will still engage before the other one (the time it takes the other one to engage is dependant on the condition of your vlsd).
Another problem comes in after drifting a lot on a vlsd, the diff will start to overheat & no longer engage both wheels... of course, most beginners don't have this problem.
That being said, there are still plenty of ppl who can drift just fine on vlsd... one tire wears more than the other? start drifting in the other direction
