Hello all,

I own a 2008 Nissan titan, and I'm wanting to either build my Re5R05A by Level10 to hold 600-700rwhp or more.

If not I was wondering what other nissan automatic transmissions will swap up to the VK56DE.

I was reading that AAA-Hiperformanceauto.com makes built RE4R03A & RE3Ro1A 300zx transmissions that hold 1000hp and have reverse manual valvebodies which would be SICK in a titan. My plans for the titan is turbocharging it and build the bottom end with CP pistons and Eagle rods. The turbo I will be using is a borgwarner S372 or S374 mounted under the truck, and going to run around 10-15psi on pump gas for daily driving. Shooting for about 500-550rwhp on pump gas easily.

I need a built transmission though, the stock RE5R05A will not be up to the task even with the transgo shift kit I have installed currently. Although the shift kit is awesome and should've come installed from the factory, I will need something better.

So my question is, what should I do... just build the RE5R05A, with shift kit by level 10 OR will one of the RE4R03A/1A transmissions bolt up to the VK56DE with or without an adapter?

If I need to have an adapter built who do I need to go to?

Thanks guys, I'm ready to get this project rolling soon and just have had hard luck finding someone or a company that can help me. I would think that If i payed a company they would jump all over it lol... not so much in some instances.

No other Nissan trans bolts directly up to the VK. Some kind of adapter would be required. Check out this one though, he does adapters to mate the RE bell housings to Chevy style transmissions, the RE5 should be no different. http://www.bde-performance.com/th400_adaptor.htm

The VH pattern is pretty much the same 4 upper bolt holes but you will need to create a clearance for the VK starter in the valley.

But most likely the RE3 and RE4 transmissions will bolt or very easily adapt to the RE5 bellhousing in your truck.
