Sorry, I am in Australia and we refer to the oil pan as "Sump". Yes, i would like to see what the oil pan and diff look like when they are in the car as I am trying to compare this setup to the one the GTR Skyline uses

Thanks, I have that picture but I havent got one showing the sump and diff together. A picutre of the actual sump and diff would speak a 1000 words and measurements would be priceless, do you have any pictures of the FX45 engine and front diff assembly?

elwesso i dont have a GTR FSM which I assume is the Service Manual. I have a GTR sump sitting in the garage. If you look in this images there is one that has a cracked differential housing. But you see how the diff/sump are aligned

I think the GTR front differential is aluminum instead of iron.

Luckily I took a look in here before heading out to Nissan

Yes, that is the GTR sump and it is made from alloy. Did you have any luck with a picture of the VK45DE/FX45 sump/diff assembly?

David, if the VK45/FX45 share the same sump/diff layout I will try and find one of those engine complete rocker covers to sump instead of having a custom sump made. Otherwise I will need to cut and shunt the GTR sump onto the allot VH41/45 sump as I intend to keep the ATESSA system in my GTR Skyline.

David do you use msn? We can chat there to discuss each others plans and maybe help one an another [email protected] if you want to add me
