I'm new to these engines and I'm doing some research. Does the vh45de share the the same bell housing bolt pattern and crank pcd as the vk56de?
Thanks

Wow1 No one has an answer? I'm looking to hang a porsche transmission off a vh45de and KEP makes an adapter kit but it's for a vk56de...

No, they are not the same.

A quick search would have revealed the numerous threads covering this topic.

I guess I don't know what the correct key words for good search are...
That's too bad! The project just got a bit harder. I'm assuming that the crank/flywheel pcd is different too? Is there a source for the bellhousing bolt pattern measurements for the vh45de? Since i can't go with an off the shelf solution I'll probably go with an audi transmission and make my own adapter.
I'm building a trackday car, building my own tube chassis, using miata suspension bits, and apparently an audi trans. The whole car, sans body work should weigh in around 1300# maybe less.
Thanks for the info.
