Just curious if anyone had tried this on their M. The idea seems solid and I know that our sloppy shifting transmissions have alot of room for improvement. I can feel how much performance we lose to the transmission TCU settings in our cars. By comparison my Titan had a very crisp, responsive shifting transmission.

Nothing beyond the torque scaling in the ECU. They do not touch the TCU. It is a shame because the torque converter locks way too soon and the downshifts even in sport mode are way too delayed in response to throttle increase. I usually end up paddle shifting down to accelerate on the highway. Saving grace is even in Drive you can paddle shift down a couple of gears to accelerate without having to floor the thing to get it to downshift. The car actually moves very well even under half throttle when you drop it down to 5th or 4th gear.

Pretty much the reason why 90% of the time I'm in manual mode lol.

Good to know. A worthwhile mod for our transmissions then.

for $600 im gonna need some first hand reviews or even a test drive to drop that sort of money on a obd plug in that doesnt also alter engine parameters.
