I just bought a new *refurbished* hp pavilion media centre PC with Vista home premium, and I have had the Blue screen of death shutdown happen about 5 times in the last hour of use. each time it comes back to life it cannot find a cause for the error. Anyone else have issues like this?! Its driving me nuts because I won't be able to take it back until friday at the earliest..

edit: Its factory refurb, and there is a 90 day warranty on it right now, but I'm going to be purchasing a 3 year warranty for it.

Vista, 'nuff said. Undo everything you did that day. Did you reimage the computer after buying? Or at least a format disk? Always undo the previous owner's crap.

Brand new computer.. I just bought it.

I did some "updates" just after I posted this, and it hasn't crashed yet.. maybe it was just a service pack I missed?

There isn't any Vista Service Pack yet ... due out soon, I understand.

Turns out it was a software malfuntion, I got a replacement computer and it's working beautifully!
