I'm going to run a Chevy 305 and a Turbo 350 trans in my 1981 datsun 720. I see how you have cut the fire wall and transfer tunnel I have a 3 inche body lift on my truck do you think I would still have to cut the fire wall and tran tunnel??????????

body lift won't help with the lack of engine compartment space, you'll get away with out cutting the floor depending on how you can setup your shifter location but if you want to fit a radiator in the engine bay without other expensive mods (electric water pump, full relocaton of accessories with 1 belt crank pulley and a motor balanced and blueprinted as to not need a harmonic balancer...) you'll have to mod the firewall or mod your grille.

Hey guys I'm new to the forum here and have some ?
I have and 85 720 really nice truck lots of killer parts on it .
I just bought it and have been toying with it for a couple mouths .
Everything been swap to the st model . I've putt some time it to the
Motor ,( vac delete , welded everything shut on the intake , header
Cam , moster webber carb and I'm just not happy .
So I'm about to stick a 327 Chevy in it . I was reading the post
But was wondering about cutting the fire wall and was thinking
About how the headers and if they will clear . I. Put big blocks
In wranglers , 351 m in rangers but never mest with a 720
I really don't want to cut it up it's to nice .

If you aré goin w/ a/t u might get away with not cutting the floor and firewall. Might... As for the exhaust, I used block burgers and had to do some seriously wildness n tweeks. I'm sure there r still picks of the build. Take a look!
