Hey guys, I havnt posted much here but I read daily, anyways, my friend has a 300z with twin turbo swap, and his LSD seems to grab ok, but he dosnt really drift so I dont know how well it holds up through turns. And also I wouldnt know cause the back will come out anyways couse he has so much power. He burned out in this guys yard(dont ask) and onto the road and it was a one wheeler peeler. Are you guyses Viscous Dif.'s that weak. or do they work better after you enter the turn for a while and the fluid expands? Thanks guys.

I have one. It gripped hard about 6 months ago. 5k miles and 3 drift events was all that it took to kill it.

What do you wan't to know about the kaaz diff? Chmercer has one, so he could probably tell you more than I can, but I have ridden in his car, and it's certainly streetable, but loud as well. kaaz diffs make pretty bad clunking sounds when turning in parking lots, but lock extremely quickly.

i love my 1.5 way, yes ive driven 2 ways and there is a difference with off throttle locking, but its not anything thats too drastic. just dont have as locked of a differential off throttle.

Well I was looking for a write up on something besides the instalation VLSD. Because I dont know exactly what say a clutch type LSD like yours would intail as far as instalation. For instance, are you able to use stock gears ect., and a bunch of other stuff you probably have to do that I have no clue about in order to install it. Thanks man, Ive done my research, at least as much as possible, for the past year or so. And I try not to ask to much of noob questions, ive been looking on this forum for a while mostly just reading though. Its just every body in there mother is swapping VLSD but I dont think they really consider the fact that VLSD is kinda well a ***** LSD . Thanks for all the help, its greatly appreciated.

VLSD is the same as viscous differencial. This lsd works between both sides of the diffential, as the sides spin different speeds the fluid between them changes in "viscosity" and joins the two sides. Open diff. is just free spinning to whichever wheel has the least resistance most of the time. No LSD is variable.
