viscous lsd question

ok...i scored up a lsd for my new cefiro as it has a open diff in it at the moment...

a few questions regaurding the cups...one cup goes in real easy (and falls out) and the other is real tight to get in (hit it with hammer) and tight to get out...

also are the rh and lh cup identical cos the 2 i have are differnet...ne help apreciated

and the cup that goes in loosely goes all the way in and the cup thats tight doesnt go right in???

is this diff f***ed or is there something im missing

another thing i thought of is r32 skylines are 5x1 axels and cefiros are 5x2 axels.....but the splines and the rest of the cup should be the same shouldnt it?

I'm not sure anybody knows what you mean by "cups", but most non-GTR skylines have 5x1 bolt patterns at the diff, and the n/a ones have 2x3 (6) bolt pattern, similar to what many sylvia's have. The hubs are the same and they are interchangable into between chassis if that's what you are talking about.

yea my bad i ment 3x2...the cups are the piece u hit into the diff...nebody know y 1 could be loose and 1 would be so tight to hit in

Ah, most people refer to those as the diff ears. Why would you want to change those? Just get the half shafts that go with the diff.

cos i scored the diff off a mate and it had no cups (ears) in it....my cefiro runs the 2x3 cups so i went to put the cups out of my other diff into it and thats that...ones tight and ones loose....wen i put the cups into the other diff i got they go in mint
