Ok so grab a pair of headphones, sit back and have your mind blown. I found my self grabbing my ear and hair. Finally I ninja-ed my barbers face when he got in my personal space. It was a freaky experience.

Haha, that's a fun little illusion. Really works well if you close your eyes and try and picture the space.

That was cool! Closing your eyes really accentuates things.

Binaural recordings!

Years ago, the Stax headphone company released a number of CD's that were recorded in this manner. The experience through headphones was a fantastic demonstration of how well the binaural recording concept worked.

The better the headphone quality, the better the effect worked. Right now, I am using some Plantronix headsets - and they are decent, but not even close to the Stax electrostatics. On my headset, left-right works great, particularly the breath in the left ear, but the Stax allowed a lot better back, top, and front perception to show through!

A friend of mine had some of these recordings - I do not know if they are still available for sale though. Will have to look ...

I was thinking, would binaural recordings and 3D technology be something that would work? The sound experience was insane, now imagine 3D video to compliment...

I think that would be amazinger.

Yea I check it every day. Instead of looking through out the entire web, I just go to Wimp and boom, my daily internet fix with 0 effort. Also if you want to search their archives just go to Google and type:

"what ever word you want to search" site:wimp

Example: Universehttp://www.google.com/search?q...fox-a

It's a fast way to find any older goodies.
