OK i have a slight qucik question, I have a 791XV Viper, and remote start and glass sensor. But now, i want remote let down all windows and let up all windows. Thats the DEI 530T. I gotta get 2 of those. for all four windows. Went to a shop and they are charging 300$ to hook it up.!!!! I see em every where online for 50$ a piece. All i have to do is know how to hook it up. Has anyone done this before if so can u guide me as to how to hook mine up on my 95. That would be a 200$ saving.! And also, if u know how to hook up the remote pop trunk on the 95 to the viper, that would be nice too.. There stuff all over online for chevys, but none for the Q. So im kinda screwed!!. Pls help if ya can.

I think your best bet it to get the installation guides at DEI's web site and compare them with the FSM to figure out what needs to be hooked up and where you're going to do it.

The trunk release is pretty easy... you will either have a ground output or a B+ (12V) output from the Viper. You have to send the appropriate pulse down the wire to the trunk release solenoid. I'm pretty sure it's ground, and you will probably need an extra relay.

Good luck!

I have done it all and can help. To get all the windows to go up AND down will take a large bundle of wires. You will need 4 wires for each door for a total of 16 wires plus the power and trigger wires for the modules. It can get a little overwhelming and time consuming but it's not that hard.

I'm not sure of the capabilities of the 530T, I'll have to look it up. The modules we normally use will control two windows in one direction. With these modules it would take 4 of them to do what you want to do.

You are going to have to run 4 wires into each door from the module location, typically under the dash. You can't wire to the switches in the console because they are on the LAN system and send data, not 12 volts. You have to connect directly to the window motor wiring harness after the window control units that are in each door.

The trunk is easy and can be tapped into at the drivers kick panel where it exits the drivers door. It's a purple wire and it requires a ground pulse to open the trunk.

I have a 2nd aux output wired to open my fuel door as well but I can't remember the wire color and couldn't find the color in the FSM. It's also a ground pulse. I'm not sure how many aux outputs you have available and you'll need at least one for the windows so you may not have enough for this extra feature.

Hey. If you have the time, do it.

Me on the other hand, I wouldn't have the time to do this quickly and correctly. I'd pay the $300 and have it installed just to save the headache. You've got to pick your battles with the Q. That's what I've learned. You're not going to win every battle. Unless you're mechanically talented and have an electrical engineer for a mother and a shop teacher for a father, you won't be able to do all the things that your Q needs.

I might be speaking for myself, but I'd feel like a real d!ck if I was the only one that felt this way. Sometimes, you can work on the car and get stuff done and it'll look great and you're proud. Sometimes, you have to let the pros do it. I'm never any less proud than if I did it myself, you know?

understood, And i know i cant do nothing mechanical on this car... Anything under the hood is wayyyyyy above my head.. Thats why i have a mech that works on G50s only!!! I also feel like this, If i can hook up my whole audio system from scratcha dn install a window regulator, there shouldnt be anything stopping me from doin a friggin alarm thing. The only thing is, i dont think ill eb able to program it. But thats the least of my worries, right now, i just need to worry about hooking the crap up.

i changed my mind... im not doing this crap myself..... the most i may do is run the window wires to the front for the alarms... And this is something that i have to think about, because this involves taking apart all 4 doors and also, running a wire to my horn. And thats alot of work. The store i got my alarm from are saying they will not warranty if someone goes in tampering with my alarm. So im kinda screwed! And i cant believe no one on nico has actually done this with the viper module 530t. ahh well...!

If I owned a shop I would refuse to trouble shoot or work on any car with an aftermarket system - jury rigged into oem.

Well I might with a $800 deposit, no make that a $1200 non refundable.

As it would take all day to come to a conclusion. Then rip it all out and restore to oem. PLUS PARTS.

That's what I think of the typical install.

But what if your car doesn't have a system

My Q has the basic system that sounds the horn and flashes the lights if the door is locked opened without a key. The same if the car is locked and I reach in the window and pop the trunk.

I really just want a keyless entry and a remote start.

HELLL NAW... For what?? Meh, nowadays, u need an aftermaket system. Infiniti will not install remote start, ad better security in your car for you, And they dont have ONstAR. So i have to create security.. Around here, people steal for a living. ANd they dont even break glases or anything else. They just use tow trucks, and the tow trucks drivers also work for the chop shops. So, the best thing to do is move out the city or state. But WTF.. thats too much money. Unless i had some top of the line OEM security. im always after market!
