Viper alarm problem, bad relay?

Basically when I arm my alarm I don't get the awesome chirp, when the alarm is armed and going off it makes no noise. But when I'm in the car and I set off the alarm I hear a ticking underneath the dash as if a relay is trying to close. Car starts fine so I'm assuming it's not the battery. Any suggestions?

I don't know much about alarm systems but if you're not getting any sounds, maybe your siren isn't hooked up right?

so how would i test for that?

touch it to a battery. and see if it even works. make sure everything is grounded. i have had problems where it wasnt grounded properly. did you install it yourself?

Alarm might be in silent mode. Pressing the unlock then lock button multiple times will change the alarm setting.

no, it was already on it when i bought the car, it worked great up until the batter got sulfated in november, in march i rejuvenated the battery and hooked it up, the alarm was loud and clear, but it just started to quiet down, quieter, quieter and now it just makes a ticking noise from under the dash.

ok well it sounds like the siren is going or gone bad. hook it up directly to a battery, that will tell you if its any good. also check for bad grounds.
