Viper 791 XV Turbo Timer - can't get key out of ignition until car's off. 89 240

Hi, I'm trying to use the viper turbo timer and I can engage it by presing * & AUX. Then I move the key to the off position, but can't press down on the button which releases the key to the final slot so I can pull it out.

I tried pressing the brake pedal to get the key out, but of course that turns off the car.

Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Yeah I've run in to this before on the Altima too. You have to actually cut power between the accesory wire and the switch using an external SPDT bosch or similar relay. I can't remember which color during the remote start process. Let me look and I'll let you know.
