when i start my engine, it shakes. sometimes it just shakes a little, sometimes it shakes the whole damn car! its kind of frightening because it feels like its going to shake itself free and fall out :P
ive also noticed that if i have the car idling, and i give it a little gas, the engine shakes a bit then, and if i give it a lot of gas real quick it shakes hard. but whenever i keep the throttle constant it doesnt shake. If i let off the throttle after keeping it revved up some it shakes then too.
now, ive heard peopel say that the engine shaking is normal, but i find it EXTREMELY hard to beleive with the amount of shaking mine does. i wouldnt doubt it if you could mesure the movement in inches! ive never seen any other car whose engine shakes nearly as much as mine, in fact most cars ive been behind the wheel have next to no shake, or at least its not nearly enough to feel (and aside from a 2000 celica, all the cars ive driven are 93 or older).
Does anyone know what i can do to keep the engine still? ive heard that sometimes its the engine mounts... where might i locate those at? and is there anything else i could check/do to help calm the shakes?
