I believe mine was called: '3M 1080 scotchprint' and you can buy it on Ebay. It is a great quality, it's can be heated with a hair dryer to stretch it around corners, and it is bubble-free. You can use high gloss or matte finish wrap. You won't need glue, but you must use a felt-covered squeegee to smooth it out. Regular plastic squeegees will leave marks.

By far, the best mod I've seen on the trim pieces is the hydro-dip. You can do a search on here for 'vinyl wrap' or 'hydro dip' . That should show you the posts from those who have done it. That is much more labor intensive than a wrap. There is also an DIY in the upper section of the forum page with instructions on how to remove the trim pieces.
You would have to remove trim that is on top of the glovebox and also small wood trim that is on the left side of center console. Two screws are holding the center control . When you remove it you will have to unscrew the back of it then you will get access to the buttons from the back you just press on them and they will pop out. Just take your time.BigP_inda_QC wrote:I'm interested in doing this too. I already bought the black brushed steel 3m vinyl, but I'm scared to try and remove the multi-switch control center. I think that I may have to remove the dash pieces in order to get to it, but I don't want to break anything-lol and wanted to ask the experts.
Thanks for the input Rob. Just a quick question. I read a.blanco's DIY on how to remove the trimming but still a little confused on the doors. Do you need to remove the whole door panel to remove the trim there?robert_4.5_S wrote:I've done it 3 times already, first one was black carbon fiber second brushed steel now have the black one also brushed.
I got the vinyl from ebay i think it was maybe 40$ but I was always getting extra vinyl in case i make mistake. Also all of them were adhesive. In my case i never had any problems with removing it from the wood and it didn't damage the wood trim.
You would have to remove all door trim and dash trim as well. When you do it first time it's gonna be hard a little. The easiest parts to wrap are door pieces. It gets a little difficult with center console and radio panel as well as ash tray and shifter knob piece. With center console i had to remove all buttons then wrap it and then put all of those buttons in the place where they are suppose to be. Radio buttons and clock are removable also. You have to have a lot of patience to do it. Gotta have couple of new sharp blades and heat gun. Then you can get something done.
Freddie got better deal on that brushed vinyl than me but he is now getting some tan in Puerto Ricohe will be back on 18th so you can ask him from where he got his vinyl.
If you have any other questions hit me up.
That's what I thought, & I appreciate the follow up!robert_4.5_S wrote:You would have to remove trim that is on top of the glovebox and also small wood trim that is on the left side of center console.
