Vinyl repair, anyone done

any? I have a small tear starting on the top of drivers door panel. I have seen the ones at the parts stores and it looks cheezey. Anyone have any ideas how to repair it and make it look decent?

Clear duct tape? Oh, you want it to look decent... I haven't tried any of the vinyl repairs. I seen a commercial for a nice one, though. I wonder if Biily May's Mighty Mend It would work. I have seen other ones that seem to have the same principle as Mighty Mend It, but I haven't used anything firsthand.
