My past experience with a bra is all bad. Road debris collects under it and scratches the hell out of your paint (gravel, bugs, leaves, tree bits).Does anyone have any experience with a front end bra?
As I said: As an aside, if taken care of properly, bras work wonderfully and do not cause paint damage.ImStricken wrote:bra's flap in the wind, and cause clear coat damage. they also lock in moisture after rain for a lot longer. grit & sand get behind the bra, and scratch up the paint.
Unless you live in the SW I'd think taking it off and drying the Bra after every rain would be a nightmare. Like 52 times a year!rcturner wrote:When wet, they need to be dried.
It is a pain. That is a big part of why I tried the spray-on this time. So far, so good.RyleyinSTL wrote:Unless you live in the SW I'd think taking it off and drying the Bra after every rain would be a nightmare. Like 52 times a year!rcturner wrote:When wet, they need to be dried.
Most places call it 'paint protection', it's a clear peice of material (I forget what kind) that goes on your car that is suppose to help protect against small rocks exc. At most angles and from a distace you can't really tell that anything is on the car.CapeCodChips wrote:What is clear bra?
This stuff works great. However, it is very expensive.JLD94 wrote:Most places call it 'paint protection', it's a clear peice of material (I forget what kind) that goes on your car that is suppose to help protect against small rocks exc. Do a search on you tube for clear bra and you can see how it's installed exc.
Sorry I'm just now reading this. Been a while since I've been on the forums, but I was wondering how someone would get one of these now? I clicked on the link you left and it was on an Ebay listing that ended.Leo2005 wrote:Finally everyone...the deflector is out:

Fairly easy. Took me half an hour.Maximus099 wrote:Great job summitview, how was the install.
There is no direct contact between the hood and the deflector. The deflector is attached to the 7 pedestals which are adhered to the hood, also with padded brackets for reinforcement.Maximus099 wrote:Great thanks. How is it attached under the hold is it held there with snaps and is there any part of the deflector that touches the paint. I'm asking this in order to prevent any rubbing and scrapping of the paint of coarse. thanks again.
