no there is not, but this stuff is:

manufacturer, engine, model/series, body type, misc-safety, check digit, model year, plant code, serial number.

its not in the s13 or s14. unless the serial number reflects it, which i doubt.

or peel out and see how many tires spin, or i think all abs equipped cars have an lsd-i think. but there should also be an orange sticker on the lsd and on the fender well or something.

Or the easiest way that no one ever mentions... Look at the back of the differential, if its reletivly flat and has the filler and drain plug on it, it is an R200 (open diff). If it has cooling fins cast into the rear cover and has the filler plug on the drivers side to the rear of the axle (I cant remember if the drain plug is on the back or the bottom) its an R200V (VLSD).

The burn-out method doesnt work on worn out VLSDs, which they do eventually. My LSD only leaves one tire track :(

I could be mistaken (I often am), but I though that the SE (w/ Super Hicas) and only the SH SE came with a VLSD. At least that is what it was for '91...

Cooling fins dont mean it's a VLSD...My 91 non viscous lsd has cooling fins and my 95 vlsd was totally smooth when I got it, however I did have to switch the covers so now the VLSD does have fins on the rear cover ;)

im pretty sure i remember seeing fins on the cover when i looked at it, and ive also read somewhere that on the SE model there was an option for just lsd without hicas, theres just no way you can have hicas w/o having lsd.....am i making sense??haha

'91 SE F/B w/ HICAS ABS & VLSD...the hicas is a sports package for the fastback 91 se. it comes with, ofcourse, the hicas, ABS and VLSD, oh and wider tires (205/60/15) and sport tuned suspension.

Notice that I said 'relatively' flat. ok, fine, forget about the cooling fins. The drain and filler plugs are in different locations. This is from a 91 FSM.
