anybody have a link to where i can find the meanings of the vin for the 89-94 240. also, when did the coupe and convetible begin production?thanks

i think the convertibles were only made in 94 and they all came with auto transmissions

i also think, that the coupe has been made the whole time the 240 has been out, in 89

not the vehicle history report, what each letter/number means in the vin. i think the conv. started in 92, but only made in 94. i thought the coupe didnt come out til 91 with the new motor. any other ideas

This confused me horribly. Are you saying the coupe body didnt exist in 89-90 or that it didnt get the dohc till 91? sorry just trying to clarify.

if it is that you are saying 89-90 had no coupe then that is not correct.

yes when i read the hatch part that confused me i mean with no coupe or hatch what do you have left? i mean to have a convertable you need a coupe so i reallydont know what else there is.
