Video playback is b/w

Have an ipod nano, and my husband bought me a composite cable so I could try playing video on the screen in my 08 ex35. It worked fine with our regular video camera, but with the ipod and this cable the video plays, but only in b&w. Can't figure out why no color. Anyone have suggestions?

Have you checked your cable? There might also be a setup in your ipod. Often you can choose color setups like bw sephia etc.

i dunno abotu 08, but in my 2010 u can change the screen to b/w etc etc, i havent tested out different inputs aside from DVD so i can't tell you if the settings aer different for each input. but i would check if ur screen is set to b/w for ipod link

I've got it now - it was a video setting in the ipod itself to play TV Out as NTSC. Works great now - thanks for the suggestions!
