I have a nav and tech package so I know how it works for me, but try hitting the screen to "disk" a couple times and see if it goes to a DVD area. Also, the car must be parked and the parking brake on to see the video. Or do the DVD hack to watch while driving.

No mods, just keep it clean.

If you don't have nav, it is not a color screen, so any video options would start with replacing the monitor.

Well since no one else has said how to do it I will post my thought. Remember, these are just thoughts on how it would work.

It looks to me like the screen has a proprietary connector that most likely hooks into the head unit/receiver in the dash. The receiver probably has multiple inputs and outputs through the connector to the screen. It wouldnt make sense to make multiple receivers for each option package so I would guess the compatibility is already there. So find out what type of inputs the receiver takes (most likely RCA inputs) and get a portable DVD player with those outputs. It might even have 5.1 RCA inputs so if you can find a DVD player like that you could get full surround sound working.

Post the info here if you have tried it and done it.

BTW, the screen on the 2003 M45 is color - even in the NON-Nav models (mine is non-Nav). The Infiniti application software only uses Orange apparently. You can tell this by trying to drive off with your parking brake slightly on - the big red box will show you the error of your ways!

the 06-09 M's have the RCA inputs in the back of the console. Plug in any video device and you can watch it on the screen. Do the 03's have the inputs somewhere?
