Sorry about the poor quality, but I was trying to drive while holding the camera and shifting gears. You get the point though. It is coming from the passenger side vanity mirror. When i flip it down the rattle stops. Anyone have this or know how to fix it? Please... it is annoying the hell out of me.

haha wow that is one bad *** rattle. If i could offer suggestions i would, but its got me stumped. I took a look at my vanity mirror and I don't know what could be causing such a loud rattle.

wow that is annoying. i'm not sure what is causing that, mine doesn't do it. my only guess would be that maybe the thing that holds it in the upright position is loose or something and not holding it all the way in place. any other thoughts guys?

go to your stealership and leave your car there until they fix it. best to do it at the end of the day and go pick it up early the next morning

Something with the plastic extension that sits inside the shade? What if you take that extension out?

Not sure how to do this though.

I had a similar rattle. I found out that it was my sunglasses in the glasses holder. Right next to where the camera is pointing as well. I fixed it by shuffling my glasses around until I get the vibrations to stop.

It still comes back every now and then if I take them out and put them back.

Yeah there is nothing in the sunglass holder and I was trying to avoid taking it to the Stealership, but I guess I might have to. Damn it. I might try to take it apart first, God I hate going to the Stealership !!!

made me laugh when he did that...reminded me of myself in my old jetta...I would bang on the roof like a madman trying to get rid of those rattles...very frustrating

yea i thought it was funny also. I have no idea besides the sunglasses comment, that would be my guess. You said there isnt anything in there, so i guess keep messin with it. Try takin the mirror/visor off the lil latch and let it block the passenger window, and see if it still does it.

Make sure your seat belt isnt touching the side panel as well. other than that removing the whole visor is actually really easy, I did it to remove my airbag warning labels and it took me about one minute. once its off drive around and see if the rattles gone.
