$360.00 + Free Shipping. You are right it is very cool!
The system holds up to 9 fingerprints allowing only those users the ability to drive your vehicle. It can also be easily switched into valet mode so you can take your vehicle to the shop or for valet parking.

That is cool. I also saw one I think called Viperstart. You can program your smartphone to unlock/lock start engine from your phone.

Some cool things you guys are doing. Hope people go for it here. Some of us already have push start since 07+ comes with it but there are other goodies you have for us.

Since we have one with (08) and one without (04) I'm constantly pushing the 04 handle to open it and poking my finger in the key hole....

So, how much for one that just keeps my keys in my pocket??

I don't care anything about remote start due to ordinances against leaving a running car unattended. Plus, I lost a co-worker due to a remote accidentally starting a car in a condo which killed him, his wife, and the couple that the car belonged too while they slept......(garage was under living quarters.)

Wow, sorry to hear that... The only system we have with proximity sensing is the ST800 its going for $390.00 right now on sale, that includes free shipping. The ST800 will be returning to its original price of $450.00 at the end of the month once our new years sale has ended.

I thought they had a timer so that couldn't happen?

Are you going to trust your family's life to some unknown guy who put that timer together on a Friday afternoon?

:gotme Who put a timer together on a Friday afternoon? These systems are professionally built by DW-Tech. DW-Tech is a huge company in Asia much like Directed Electronics is over here in the states, they have full test labs and facility that builds every product we sell. This is not some system I built in my garage, every system that is produced is quality tested and ISO certified. I'm sure Darrell Issa was just some guy back in the day also, but he founded Directed Electronics which has now grown to what it is today. We are new here in the states but we are not running our company out of a garage, we are actually a part of DW-Tech it self. Maybe this comment was not directed towards me but if it was, thank you for the comment!:)

My comment was not really directed at you but at anybody that would start an automobile in a garage or any other enclosed area and leave it to warm up. Internal combustion engines and enclosed areas are a very bad idea :ohno:

Actually, this was over 10 years ago when it happened. So, I'm sure that there has been much improvement.
Every time I here about remote start, I think of my co-worker and his new bride. They were supposed to have moved into a house that weekend, but something delayed until the next. Sad deal. They believe that the remove accidentally turned on the car and the couple above the garage and my friends died that night. This incident caused some changes in CLT related to mandatory carbon dioxide detectors being installed in apartments and condos.
Sorry, didn't mean to question this product.
Based on my experience, I would never have a remote starter in the garage of my house....just me.
