I read about this a while back. Its a pretty interesting concept. Basically have a fuel air mixture that gets compressed to the point that its right on the edge of compression combustion, then light a part of it, which rapidly expands, increases the pressure in the chamber, and then drives the rest of the air/fuel mixture to compression combust.
I wonder if it runs like s*** when its cold...
