Just came across these. Thought they were freakin hilarious. Brings back memories.

Part1: http://www.1up.com/do/feature?cId=3109674Part2: http://www.1up.com/do/feature?...37498

TetrisQuote »Tim: Which button do I press to make the blocks explode?

EGM: Sorry, they don't explode.

Becky: This is boring. Maybe if it had characters and stuff and different levels, it would be OK. If things blew up or something or—

Sheldon: If there were bombs.

Becky: Yeah, or special bricks. Like, if a yellow brick touched a red brick it would blow up and you'd have to start over.

John: Why haven't I won yet? I've paired up so many of the same color.

EGM: Don't worry about colors.

John: I just lined up six of the same color. Why didn't they blow up?

EGM: Nothing blows up.
Super Mario Bros.Quote »EGM: Who's that chick Mario is rescuing up there?

Brian: It's Princess Peach.

Kirk: It's a hooker.

Niko: She looks cut in half.

Tim: Oh wow—she's one of those pole dancers.
DefenderQuote »EGM: Do you know that in these types of games, people spend hours and hours trying to break world records.

Parker: Like that guy who beat Pac-Man? With the long beard?

Garret: Billy Mitchell.

EGM: What do you think of him?

Parker: He's a complete loser. Doesn't he have a mullet?

Garret: That's bad.

Dillon: What a freak.
****in' kids today...

that's what's wrong with them...to caught up in plot to learn basic motor skills required to kick tetris' ***.

for the record, I suck at tetris. I blame it on it boring me with no story...

My dad is big into Tetris, his current personal best is like 430,000 and the level is into the teens or something. What a dork.

I'll smack anyone upside the head for talking sh1t about Mike Tyson's Punch Out. I couldn't even guess how much time I spent (or wasted) playing that game. Back when Tyson was still cool.

And Tetris is the ****!

Damn kids these days.

At least some of them liked Zelda.

I sucked big time at Punch-Out. Tetris was my thing. And Sonic.

Andrew: Someone take over before I lose my dignity. [Mario picks up the hammer power-up]

Andrew and Niko: Hey, that's from Super Smash Bros.

Andrew: So that's where they got the idea from.

WTF?

Wow..

That was some funny stuff.... I'm amazed and baffled by what 9-12 year old kids are saying these days!

Talk about a flashback though... I remember when we got our first Pong game "console". It was the fancy one with like a 4 game selector dial. Pong, Hockey, Tennis, and Squash! Still black and white, but it was the most amazing thing at the time.

I started to type up a list of what all game systems I have lying around, but I don't have that kind of time, lol.

I'm sure Minister is in a similar situation.

it kinda sounded like it was made up. The kids said some funny **** w/double meaning, and used some vocabulary not commonly used by the average 9-12 year old.

I still have a working 2600, and 7800 at my mom and dads, and a Genisis with t e 32x adapter that still works with Virtua Racing, and lets not forget the classic consoles like the Intelivision with Zaxon and Space Fury.

Ninja Gaiden, wow...someone else besides me remembers that game. I spent countless hours playing that game.

Anyone remember the SMS...I had one of those too, with games like Afterburner, Thunder Blade, Hang On, Alex Kidd....

I am only 28, but those titles make me feel really old...lol

Ninja Gaiden was dope.

What about Contra? up up down down left right left right b a start.

Remember the old school Kung Fu?

Top Gun

Castlevania

I forgot the name of that game you had to run through open doors, and go up and down. You were supposed to use that stupid robot thing that had that spinning thing, but you could also use the other controller to open the doors. Gyro? something like that.

Can't forget Donkey Kong Country! At the time, the graphics and colors were the best. I used to be a pretty big stoner, and I can't even count how many hours we sat around playing that game.

With Mario Kart, we used to have like ten guys getting high, huddled around the TV waiting for thier chance to battle. Damn that game is fun.

I was talking to one of my friends about that. Some of the latest projects we've been working on involved creating content for a games. She was saying something about how our future kids will be laughing at the games we're creating now and how the graphics now will look like poo compared to whats to come in the future. I brought up that quote and told her "apparently we'll be dead."

Sure those kids say some pretty suprising stuff, and I don't know about you guys, but I learned all the "not so nice" words by the third grade. Those kids (judging by their ages) are probably somewhere in the fourth to sixth grade. I had to think about that one though.

Oh, and Ninja Gaiden was the shiz! It was tough as hell. I don't even think I ever beat it, and I too spent way too much time on it.

I have to disagree...Shinobi for the SMS was way to easy and had very little in action. Ninja Gaiden was non stop. Now, I have played every spinoff of the original Shinobi, and the only one besides the newest one on PS2 that holds any chance against Gaiden, was Revenge of Shinobi that came out in the late mid 90's for Genisis...that game rocked.

Actually, I only played it once or twice. I could never get into those types of games...I could never figure out why everyone else played them so much. As for games I am afraid to admit I played...I've got my share. I had some wierd ones back in the day...I sold most of them after my first NES died though. And I've got this frightening addiction to Combat that I'm sure is unhealthy.

Oh yeah....anybody else here remember Super Ghouls and Ghosts? That game was frickin' INSANE! They re-released it for GBA a few months ago, so I picked it up, remembering how fun it was when I was a kid. I can't even get past the first level!!!

Sounds like me when I had the Pink Skyline "My line is so beating the heck out of your stupid line. Fear my pink line."

I actually have a Pong machine in a box somewhere. Damn that thing was weak.
