Well, I had a vibration in the engine (not driveshaft related, since it does it in neutral also) at around 1750 RPM, bad enough to vibrate the entire car...... Its now worse than it ever has been, and there is also smaller ones in other places too........

New fuel filter..... Ran the 44k until about 1/4 tank........

Also.... Sort of unrelated....... My car vibrates when Im stopped at a stop light in drive....... More/less feels like its coming from the rear, and as soon as you let off the brake, its fine....... The same sort of feeling you get in some other cars also...... Normal???

I've had a similar experiance with both bad gas and 44K. It has always disappeared after a refill of premium. You might have knocked some crud loose with the 44k and need to give it a chance to get out of the system. Run the tank low and refill, I'd bet that will help!

You might also want to run HEET or Denatured Alcohol in the tank to absorb any water that might be lurking.

FWIW, I usually run the 44K the tank before an oil change just in case it reduces the lubricating oil.

I dont think it will have any ill effect on the oil........

Does WOT do anything for cleaning injectors??? I tried doing many WOTs while the 44k was in there........

I probably need to do a rail flush soon anyway......

It raises your fuel pressure and flow rate, so it will increase the chance of washing away any deposits. Kind of a pain, but one way to *try* to narrow down a bad cylinder is to disconnect each injector harness one at a time and see which one gives the smallest change in behavior.

A hundred thousand miles of fuel abuse can't be FIXED over night or in a week, or a month! Unless you change everything and $3,000 is a bit much for most people.BG44k is a mild cleaner not the end all of cleaners, something that is to be used every 3,000-4,000 miles to clean up the loose easy stuff and keep matters from getting worse.

BG has 4 different [strength] fuel products depending on the severity and risk you are willing to assume. BG44k is the mildest and the only one safe for the owner to use. Can't make a mistake in pouring it in tank assuming there is more than 5 gallons of fuel to dilute it ........11/650=2% extra detergent/solvent additive.

Much of the crud comes from the fuel flex hoses as after year the interiors begin to breakdown. They should be replaced every 100-150k........HP fuel hose is expensive and lots of junk on the market that doesn't meet oem specs.

Speaking of replacing fuel hoses, last time I was on the phone with someone at Joe's the person helping me couldn't find part numbers for all of them ( I think there are 3 ) and said that bulk hose was probably used. As best as I can determine fuel injection hose that meets SAE 30R9 should work correctly. This hose is made by companies such as Goodyear and Gates and is made to resist high pressure and oxygen additives. I bought 5 feet of 5/16" at my local auto parts store for around $5/foot. Has anyone used this type of fuel hose as a replacement successfully, or does one need some other special Infiniti fuel hose?

I use off-the-shelf fuel injection hose. Not sure what spec it's to, but I think working pressure was 100 psi or so. Shop around--I think I've seen 10' lengths for $30+shipping online, but I haven't looked recently.

Yes! Also, denatured alcohol is definitely to be avoided - it is basically ethanol to which some significant quantity of methanol has been added. And methanol is not good for lots of things (people, injectors, etc.)

If ISOheet is made of isopropyl alcohol, it should be fine.

Methanol will destroy the fuel system in quick order! It attacks aluminum and rubber.............how they can sell that stuff is beyond me! [Probably ok if premixed with a gallon of gas BEFORE putting in tank]......but pouring it straight down the fuel filler is a no no!99.9% Isopropyl is benign if used in under pint [16oz] with 22 gallons of fuel.100% Ethanol is used in gasoline up to 10% in many locations so it doesn't cause many problems either.

I wasnt necessarily expecting it to cure the vibration, but I was expecting it to possibly make it better, but certainly not make it worse........
