I'm getting a vibration in my 2000 qx4. Its most noticeable from 50 to 60. 145k miles on it. I'm going to look at it this weekend Think it may be the rear diff going out? Any ideas or common problems areas I should check?..

Edit...
the vibration can be felt in the seat.. I had it up on the lift tonight and found major noise/vibration from the rear diff.. very disapointed. looks like the rear end needs rebuilding at only 145k? I have run synthetic in it for some time now.. I also have some play in the t-case output shafts..after some search on this forum that seems normal.. has anyone had experience with either of these problems??

Thanks,

I noticed the same thing on my 99.5 Pathy. Seems to happen on cooler days/nights.

Just to be sure, check if the welded weights are all there on the rear driveshaft, something to check to be sure it isnt causing the problem.

For me it was from like 50-70+ , and it shook like the floor too, but if that is it, then you just have to take it out and get it balanced.
