Vibration?

Hello all nico friendsI just bought my first 91 Q45 with 138,000 miles off of ebay. i have it about three months now. i now have 152,000 mile today. i had one problem but reading the post i fix my problem with a used maf sensor. when i first got my q45 i was vibrating a little on take off. but know it is vibrating much more at take off . i can feel the car shakes at idel and in park. i don't know what to check for. i did a trans oil change(drop the pan new filter) and engin oil change. used maf sensor. also i hear a low buzzing noise from the rear seat sounds like the fuel pump. i still drive my car but the vibration is just killing me. can anyone help me with my problem? Is the vibration more of a "bouncing" feeling? If so my guess would be a dead injector. Fuel pump needs to be addressed ASAP as well.

yes it seem like a bouncing feeling. how do i find out what injector is bad?thanks

Take it to a dealer and run a power balance test with the Consult.

Hey your in indiana... Maybe we could meet up and i could help you out sometime on fixing her up!! I would guess its a fuel pump, and if that doesnt fix it then you need to check injectors.....

I made apointment for the power balance test for the 19 of this month. is there anything i can do in the mean time to try and fix my problem.thanks

Torn engine mounts will cause lots of engine vibration on take off and when stopped.

Open the hood, engine running, put the car in gear, s-l-o-w-l-y open the throttle (a couple of seconds) and watch to see how much the engine moves. More than a couple of inches at the edge is too much.

Sometimes the fuel injection service includes the power balance test - if the price difference in not much, I would have them do the fuel injection service and you will get the power balance done for free. The dealership in Phoenix charges about 90-110 (depending if they are running a special or not) for fuel injection and perform a power balance test as well.

If I ask them to do the power balance test, it is $90+

So find out from your dealership.

If you dont have an infiniti dealer nearby, a NISSAN dealer will do.... I had work done at a nissan dealer, and I was very pleased. PLus it was 10 miles vs 60 miles!!
