New onset of problem with vibration, here is the scoop:

Vibration noticed last Wednesday by my wife and I drove it the next day to work and found the vibration started at 60mph and was so severe I got off the road and examined the front tires - no problem found. Returned to the road and continued but the vibration did not return again until you reached 60mph.

I tried to cause vibration by fast acceleration but no issue. No issue on turning or stopping.

Car is on stands now and I have tugged on wheels and cv joints/axles and no apparent issues.

Upon test driving this afternoon the vibration is now at 45mph.

Car is fwd with 96k on the clock - no accidents or hard driving. I had planned to replace front pads and both belts and also a complete brake system flush.

Do you guys think its the rotors as I have read on this forum??

Thanks for your input guys,Mike

I would start cheap.....check air in all tires and follow the manufacturer recommended pressure...the do a wheel aligment....this is uasually the cause of most vibrations...any minor work of front wheels or axle will throw the aligment off...and then I would check the rotor since they could be expensive...good luck

Forgot to tell you guys I had a tire rotation and front end alignment right away once I experienced the vibration - vibration persists.

Vibration solved - it was the rotor on rear drivers side, warped and chewed up. Piston was hard to force back into place - might have to replace/rebuild caliper in near future.
