Does anyone have a vibration issue when they drive between 35-40 mph? When I drive between 35-40 mph I feel a very pronounced vibration in the steering wheel. When I take my car for service, the service folks say that nothing is wrong.
Also, when it is cold and it rains, I notice that a tremendous amount of steam comes from the front grill after I have been driving for a while. The service folks say that is normal too. The last time I took my car for service, I showed a video of the steam coming from the grill to the service guy. The guy looked surprised, but he didn't input anything into the computer for the service guys to look at, he just wrote something on the print out. and he said he would have the tech guys look into it. Needless to say a lot of steam still comes from the grill if it cold and raining after I have been driving for a while.
I really like the Infiniti G35X but my next car will be a Mercedes E350. For the price of the G, there should not be any vibrations. or noticeable steam coming from the engine.

Cold rain on the hot engine/radiator/exhaust = steam. There is nothing wrong with it.

Vibration I have not had any. Did you buy a car new? Have you had your tires ballanced lately? How are the tires? Is it happening when you cruise or when you hit the brake?

+1

Vibration at speed is usually a tire, balance or alignment issue.

Yes, I purchased a new car. My tires are fine. I take my car to get serviced at the dealership where I purchased the car. The vibration occurs when I am driving between 35 and 40 mph, not when I am braking or turning. I thought it was me, but my husband senses it also when he drives my car. Mostly, I feel it in the morning when I drive to work.

Ok maybe we are not talking about the same. Are you sure it is vabration? Isn't this a shudder "issue"? Does it feel like when you drive the manual transmission and you are in a way too high gear and the transmission is struggling? More like a jerky feeling. Is it going away in DS or manual mode?

I had a similar issue with my wife's 2003 G35. I put the front wheels in the air and could hardly turn the R/F wheel. It was a wheel bearing that was making a strange vibration at speeds over 40 mph. May be worth a look?? :gotme
