The Vibration started right after the they cut the rotors and put the newer bigger backing plates on. It was fine until that. The dealer then had the EX for 5 business days. They couldn't find it (vibration) (they put 20 miles on the car) I told them to take it on the highway, since they are on side streets and it only oocurs at highway speeds. They re-balanced all 4 tires.EXceptional wrote:What brand of Tires do you have?
How many Miles/Kilometers have elapsed between the Brake Job and the discovery of the vibration?
On my Truck, I also had a vibration that no one could figure out.
After several visits to the Dealer and no satisfaction, I myself, swapped out one Tire at a time with my Spare and then went for a short high-speed drive... until the Vibration at the certain speed disappeared.
It was a pain in the a$$, but I figured out the problem, myself.
I had a separated Belt.
Goodyear Wranglers... I have never bought Goodyears and never will. The Goodyears were OEM on my Truck and were garbage before they wore out. It was a shame, they still had half their life left.
Note... my Spare was a full-size Spare.
Good luck...
Update.. this is the strangest thing to diagnose. Everytime the Infiniti dealer has the car it doesn't do it. I've gone on 2 extended test drives with them and nothing... yet I drive the car later and it occurs, LOL! Oh well. So far it's been fine for a few days.. so time will tell..EXceptional wrote:What brand of Tires do you have?

Rob's Rogue wrote:A couple of thoughts here. I really believe that this is a wheel balance problem. First, make sure that the dealer returned the wheels and tires to their original positions on the vehicle before the brake work was done. If by chance they rotated the tires from front to back or worse, in an X pattern this could explain the new vibration. As a matter of fact, some luxury brands no longer recommend rotating the tires on their all-wheel drive cars.
The other issue is to make sure the dealer is using a "Hunter Road Force Balancer" to balance the wheels. This machine is the gold standard of balancers and is fairly common in luxury vehicle repair facilities. But not always. If they are, however using this type of machine, ask if they actually did a full "road force" balance and not just a "quickie balance" instead. Lastly, ask if the mechanic who performed the work is fully qualified to operate the Hunter machine. Not all mechanics are.
Good luck and keep us informed as to the outcome.
Which brands are these?Rob's Rogue wrote:If by chance they rotated the tires from front to back or worse, in an X pattern this could explain the new vibration. As a matter of fact, some luxury brands no longer recommend rotating the tires on their all-wheel drive cars.
I rotate my own, not paying Infiniti's rip off $90 charge for it. I've never had a problem with noise/vibration after rotating. My EX has the stock 17 inch Michelin which have been decent tires for me.EXceptional wrote:Which brands are these?Rob's Rogue wrote:If by chance they rotated the tires from front to back or worse, in an X pattern this could explain the new vibration. My Dealer once rotated my Tires... and the Road-noise was horrible... so they put them back to their original corners.
I didn't pay for it, either. I had a "mailed to me" Dealer coupon.ANBYOND wrote:I rotate my own, not paying Infiniti's rip off $90 charge for it. I've never had a problem with noise/vibration after rotating. My EX has the stock 17 inch Michelin which have been decent tires for me.
I don't have the Dunlop tires. I have Michelin on my EX. I wouldn't consider a Dunlop tire.EXceptional wrote:I didn't pay for it, either. Do a search on Dunlops aka Duncraps in this Forum... and you'll see why so many people hate them.
New Michelins will be on the EX35, next Summer.
There was a TSB for front brake vibration during high speed driving. It turned out to be a bad front brake heat shield design that causes abnormal wear in the brake component, such as pads, rotor etc...TurkPhilly wrote:It is gonna be strange to reply to this post since its been a while, but... can anybody tell me is anybody found reason/solution for this issue. I have the 2011 g37x sedan doing same thing and I am about to go nuts.
