First thing I'd look at would be the rear transmission/3rd motor mount (same part). When it's replaced you typically also replace the exhaust hangers that are part of it.

Here's a shot of mine when I replaced it.

What type of vibration (when etc) clued you into that needing replacement?

I've read of that being replace fairly often, but never any mention of how you know when it's kaput.

Posted several times is on a G50 when tires are balanced and OEM diameter, vibration at ~50 mph in 3rd and ~70 mph in D, then 3rd motor mount is out of specification.

I had that - ended up being a loose exhaust clamp...

Exhaust hangers are routinely replaced simultaneously.

Since no one has mentioned it, it could also be your driveshaft. The rubber bearing in the 90-93 G50's was good for about 10 years or 100k miles IIRC. The 94-96 G50's had updated to thicker, beefier rubber bearings.

Just putting it out there.

I'll bet it's just a corroded heat shield. I had the same problem. Vibration could be heard when in gear and going very slow. Not a big deal, just remove it. Of course, the alarmists will probably have you replace every component underneath your car since you're under there anyway (member standards vary)
