i have a 95 240sx and it vibrates very noticeably at our above 3000rpm. you feel it mostly in the shifter stick but can also here it and feel it on the pedals and steering wheel. I t seems like something is out of balance like the pressure plate or something. it doesn't seem like anything worth not driving it about but i know something isn't right. any words

If its a 5 spd. its your flywheel. Might as well go ahead and replace the clutch and get the flywheel machined or get a new lightweight flywheel.

Err before you do all of that just make sure your driveshaft is in good shape/balanced.. A solid peice of steel typically doesnt go out of balance to often. Also check your transmission mounts and motor mounts.

thats what i thought and the car has around 160000 miles on it anyway. its a 5 speed and i ordered a fidanza 11lb flywheel and exedy oem clutch already to install. I doesn't feel likt it woulnd be a mount but i triple check them. I was thinking about replaceing the bearings in the trans while i have it out. good/bad idea? also as it stands if i look under the front of the car towards the back, i can see the bottom half of the flywheel. its like a cover or something is missing between the trans and the engine. any ideas? thanks

Most likely it's the center carrier bearing for the driveshaft.

Mine goes absolutely NUTS at ~3500 rpm... it vibrates so bad i can't see clearly out my rearview mirror from the vibrations.

also like 480sx said... transmission and engine mounts. Definitely worth checking those out.
