I have search for the post. Can some one point me in the right direction?I have owned a 1995 q45t almost from new and it has always had this issue. It seem to be getting worse now that I have gone past 100,000 miles. It is a deep vibration felt in the steering wheel and seat.

Check transmission mounts, driveshaft, and exhaust.....

Does the vibration happen at a certain RPM, regardless of how fast you are going.. Meaning, can reproduce when you rev the engine to 2250 RPM in park?

Depending on your tire size, it will be at 45-50 mph in 3 and 68-73 mph in D if it is the transmission (rear motor) mount. Count on replacing it anyway (along with the exhaust hanger bracket) if the service history doesn't include it.

The post is in Infiniti Mechanic Forum, where this one should be.

I agree. Start with the easy stuff. Replacing the transmission mount and exhaust hangers is an easy DIY that will cost about $130. If it hasn't been done it's time. You willl eliminate vibration at all RPMs that you don't even know you have. I did mine a few weeks ago. Check out the thread that Maxnix referenced, it's all there including pics.

Wow! this forum is great. After driving my Q for 10 years and suffering in silent what a fantastic discovery to learn that there are others out there who can solve my problems. The vibration does not appear at 2250 in idle just in D

I am confused about posting procedures. Is this not the Infinite Mechanic Forum? The search feature is currently disable so I have not been able to locate post on how to do rear monts and exahust hangers.

Thanks man. Sounds like I need to torch the pre mufflers. The car has had these symptoms since 1996 when I bought with 5,000 miles on it.

GQ Jay,

Noticed you live near me. Any recommendation for a reasonably priced mechanic to replace struts?
