I just bought my 2009 Nissan Altima three weeks ago, and I am running into a major problem already. The pedals on my car are pulsing/vibrating. It is not a violent vibration, and you can't see them moving... but when you press on the pedals, you can definitely feel it on your feet. It is almost like a massager of sort, but really annoying and, after about 15 minutes, painful.

Of course the dealership denies anything is wrong ("everything is normal"), but I just know it's not. What is more - I can feel vibration on the driver's side floor as well, and all the pulsing/vibration gets worse when the radio is on, even at low volume.

Anyone have any ideas? I am going to take it to another dealership tomorrow to see if they can figure something out.

I just bought a 09 Altima 2.5S on Aug. 10th. I am completely sick over the road vibration that is coming through the gas peddle and steering wheel as well. Miy problem became quite clear the 2nd day of driving. I took it into the dealer that day. The car is fine they say. I drove 3 other new Altimas on the lot and indeed it is the nature of the car. I have driven many many cars in my years but never one that is this new that has a feel like this in the wheel and pedal. I am curious though, it says you are posting from Atlanta. I bought mine in Buford just outside. No chance you bought from the same place? I would like to know what your dealer told you.

I got mine at Team Nissan Marietta.

I went to two different dealers and even called Nissan Corporate. They all told me the same thing - there is nothing wrong with the car and "that's the way it is."

For what it's worth, I noticed that the steering wheel vibration is reduced when the AC and fan are turned off. Little consolation, I know, but at least it helps somewhat.

Today, with the rain, I also noticed that I can feel the windshield wipers as they go back and forth on the window in the pedals!!!! The pedals also reverberate with the playing of the radio, even at moderate volumes. It's just getting to the point of annoyance.

Someone told me to look into sound deadening/vibration dampers for the Altima. I have no idea if this would even help and if the expense is even worth it. I might just cut my losses and trade/sell the car in a year or so.
