VIBRATING ENGINE AND MUFFLER ON 1993 240SX SE 5 SPEED

MY muffler started to get louder recently,so I ignored it until the entire car seemed to be vibrating inside more and more.I went to a muffler shop but they did not have a replacement muffler. the brackets That hold the muffler in place where broken so I had those welded back in place. That secured the exhaust:However, it seems like the engine is vibrating as well, I am thinking the motor mounts need replacing,now when I am driving about 40-50MPH it seems like I am not getting full power,can anyone tell me if this has happened to them? THANKS

it sounds like one of your cylinders is not firing. check for spark and fuel first.

if your exhaust hangers broke, then you might have cracked your exhaust. an exhaust leak would cause the louder sound. have you looked for a leak?

i'd go with what numbnuts240 said too.

also, when my motor mounts were gone (100% rotted away..), it was very obvious. bad shakes at lower rpms... a bit smoother at higher rpms.
