This may have been asked before but I am not finding it so figure I would start my own.

For the past month I have been noticing some major vibration in the brake peddle even when stopped. I know it is from the engine. It mainly happens when I first start the vehicle in the morning. Once it warms up it smooths out and is not as bad. I have taken it to Nissan to have them check it and they told me that it is normal behavior for the versa. He said he test drove other versas in their lot and they did the same thing. He said its got to do with the engine idle being higher when the engine is cool. He actually told me that its because the car isn't a Maxima and is cheaply made. could not believe he said that but he did. I have had some problems with this dealership lately and don't know if I can trust their findings with the brake peddle. But I have no way to fight it because I know all he has told me is true about how the engine works.

So my question is has anyone else noticed a vibration in the brake peddle since its supposed to be normal with the versa? I have a 1.8 auto. no cvt. figure If I can find that no one else has had this problem than that is a good way to start fighting back.

thanks

Does pedal vibrate in Park? Reverse? Neutral? Drive?
Many automatic cars will vibrate somewhat when car is motionless in reverse or drive, and then not when in neutral or park, especially when cold, especially when not broken in yet, especially when you turn on the AC. I'll slip my van into neutral for this reason if i have a long wait. Check with a trusted independent mechanic to determine "normality" :)
Hope it goes well!

thanks that made me feel little stupid. lol. helped out with the fact that others are noticing the problem also but then people say that they are taking it to the dealer and will post back and then nothing. does anyone have any results from their dealer about this problem. as i said I do not feel I can trust mine after the problems I've had with them the last couple months.

It always vibrates somewhat but vibrates more when blower motor is turned up or car is in drive. my car has little over 18k mi and it started this after my 15k mi oil change. which is same as someone else had said theirs started. don't really have anyone i know i can trust to check it as i do most of the work my self. I am going to take it to one other dealer i know of around where im located. just wanted some input before i do.

you are welcome to drive mine at IA in October if you want. I have the auto also. I don't recognize the same problem. I may have it and don't notice it.

I'm sure you would notice it if it is anything like mine. it about vibrates my foot off.

glad to hear you'll be at IA though. I'll be there also. Maybe we can get more versa's out there?
