vi intake worth it?

i sourced a complete vi intake setup for $300 shipped. now the guy says i need an emanage to tune it. so now i ask myself is about 30hp worth it for around $1000

You don't need emanage, I've see plenty of people run a SAFC that's been tuned.

00vi or mevi? anyways you shouldn't need anything to tune except an rpm switch - the afr is withing stock o2 sensors' adjustment capabilities.there is other isues from installing the 00vi...
