As some of you know we have made a few sets of Twin Turbo manifolds for the VH45 and after a lot of people asking questions about them we are looking into a reproduction of turbo manifolds for the VH45, but are not sure if people would be willing to pay the cost for them...

The cost for a set of Manifolds with Down pipes would come to about $1400-$1600 shipped. Is this something you guys would be willing to pay?

I know the cost of a set of headers from Mazworx is in the $800 range but custom sets made by someone else for your car would be about the same cost as these manifolds would run. I know many people choose to make there own headers which of course would be cheaper.

So for a few details:
Twin turbo set up but can be converted to a single set up.
Will have T3/4 flange or option of V-Band (additional cost)
Fabricated NOT cast
Front Mount turbo's
1 3/4 tubes CNC bent
3 or 3.5 inch down pipes with V-band attachment - included in cost.
Fitment on both LHD and RHD cars. :woot:

So let me know your thoughts on it please.

This was the first cut at it... They have since been re-done and I will post up pics once they are complete. The production ones wont be welded though, as these are since these are only prototypes. The production ones will use Mandrel bent tubing for strength and more accurate bends.

doesnt sound like a bad price as long as the clearances are good and they are machined flat. quality will be the biggest key to selling them. just look what happened to Daft. are these what you run on your car? do they leak?

The ones in the pictures are the original prototypes. The aren't even fully welded. The ones for retail will be made by a custom exhaust company close by us as they can produce them cheaper than we can. They have also been involved in the prototype set up to ensure they are the best quality.

Also in reference to your comment... I'm not sure who Daft is? Can you PM me more info when you get a chance.

As for on my car I have the final round from the prototype set up, however ones these go into production I will be changing it to them in order to fully test them. We currently do not have any leaks running twin T70's. But that has only been in test and not on the street.

I'm not certain but since the Q has more space in the bay it should fit. These are designed to fit snugly in the SX with very little wiggle room so maybe they just would... that is something I would look into once in production... expand the market! :)

I know they wont fit in a ZX. :(

One thing you can't really see in any of the pics are the supporting braces which support the weight of the turbo and also reduce the vibrations caused by the turbo. We also created heat shields that go between the manifold and the engine to pull some of the heat away. Also another thing you will notice is the wastegate outlet is not shown. We are still working on the best placement for it based on sizing, location and available space.

Thats ruthless. Man that really tight in there. Looks amazing. Im doing a s13 vh swap right now and wish i would have had this option 2 years ago. I already baught mazworx headers so now im looking for remote mount setup buuut good luck man they look tits. And its sooooo easy to get a 45 for cheap. Got mine for 300 and pulled a spare for a friend for 100 when they had a 100 motor day at the yard near me. maybe when i pop this motor ill sell the headers and pick these up.

So these are still happening. We have been reworking them and making changes to ensure that we only put something that works on the market. Hopefully by the end of the month I should be able to take pics with the turbo's mounted and ready to go into final production. At that stage we will be taking pre-orders as we will have a price of what the units will cost. If anyone wants to get on the list to be contacted when they are released and more information is out PM me your email address.

Thanks again to everyone for their support and ideas for this project.

I must say these look very familiar. They look almost like these only with longer runners.

Not to sure about that one as I can't say I recognize that one... Got any more info and pics on it. This engine from this pic looks like it uses log manifolds. Good to see more out there though!

They are not log mani's, they just have short runners into a collector. I did it this way to save room and the way the collector is it help with scavenging. You have seen this engine before, you posted in my build thread.

s*** dude that was over a year ago, but now that I read over it I remember it. Thought you must have died or something. Where'd you go? Did you even finish that build or what?
