Car: 1990 300zx NA to a VH45de

Post

Hello everyone,

I hope i'm posting in the right place. I apologize if this is the wrong thread.

I am about to swap my 1990 300zx 2+2 NA to a VH45. I got the engine and I am about to buy the swap kit from perfromanceVH. Question, as the title states, is there any way to run AC in this swap? I've looked all over the web and haven't found an answer. This will be a summer car so AC is a must.

Thanks,
Brooklyn

Welcome!
You're in the right place, although the VH swap is not as common as in the past and there are a few reasons for that including gain for the trouble (not that great) and also as you question, several problems with things such as AC and cooling issues. Also, the engine sits very high and you have to modify the hood and suspension, as well as IIRC fabbing engine and trans mounts and possibly more.
I have no experience here but others have and may be able to comment on your specific question, as there have been a few VH swap threads here and elsewhere you could search out and see what they did, or PM the author for insights.
