I am making a run of intake manifold flanges for the VH45DE. They are going to be made from 6061 .500" Aluminum Plate. If any one is interested in a pair please post. I don't have a price from my waterjet guy yet, but the more we get the lower the price! I have been shopping around for prices. I am thinking I can get the for about $100 for a pair. When posting please specify what port style you need.

I am running both the S1 and S2 style ports. Along with throttle body flanges. I'll post pictures up when I get the test units back from the water jet guy.

$140.00 For the pair of intake flanges. Your choice of S1 or S2. They are 1/2" Thick t6061. The throttle body flange is the same material and is $45. I don't have a production date yet. I would give it about 4 weeks to get to your door.

Are you able to tell me if the width of each port is the same between s1 and s2. Reason why I ask is because I have a s1 but am considering merging the two ports into one and use the s2 flange.....hopefully. Are there any other differences?

It's a long term project so time is not a major concern but it's always nice to have it in your hands lol

That is what I initially thought, but when I took a look at the s2 intake runners compared to the s1 there was a major difference in size. I am going to use one tube per pair of ports and shape the center of the flange with a dremel. Similar to how the stock runner is. I have to figure out what size pipe I'm using, I'll be shaping the ends that go into the flange to an oval shape but then keeping the circle shape farther up for ease of fabrication.

Here is a picture of it on the engine. Everything lined up almost perfectly. It was off a thousandth or two here and there, but not anything to be concerned about. They are a lot closer to the actual port size compared to the stock runners. When the time comes for porting the head, I'll port match the intake as well. But for now it is damn close enough!

So are you saying the port size of the s2 is a lot smaller?

Maybe I'll just mill the centre of the s1 ports

Yeah the S2 is smaller. If you mill the center of the S1 ports out, you should shape the divider casting between the two ports. You could just shape the dividers between the two ports on the flange like i'm going to do.

I have this picture of the s1 gasket on top of a s2 gasket:

Its a little hard to see, but the s1 port is wider than the s2.

Exactly, if you go that route you can match the flange for sure.

Are you planning to keep the top feeds? If you are are making your own or buying injector bosses. I make/buy the 14mm ones but haven't ever seen the top feed ones.

Cheers,
Ariel

The VH came factory with side feed injectors, I am going to go with a top feed system for my new intake. I got some injector bosses from Ross Machine Racing.

No one on this site.... very disappointed so far. I can understand it though. Most people would rather chop a hole in their hood than fabricate a nice intake because its easier.

Is there another site these are on?

Yeah it's a shame....but manifolds can get expensive to make and make for a pig of a car to drive if you get them wrong

Anyone taking the s1 demo you have there?

It is, but with a little bit of research you get get a good idea about what you need to do to make an intake work.

I am using the S1 demo flange. It was so close to perfect that I'll be using it on my build. :)

I will need a down payment of $1000.00 per manifold. Total cost is estimated at $1600. This includes a bolt on intake manifold with top-feed fuel rail.
