Hi! Has anybody tried putting a vh45de into a '89 terrano d21? I'm going two wheel drive using motor and matching auto. Looks a bit tight on the rails, but all else should fit.

Hi Ronzer,

I wonder if this is not the same question I'm asking...

I have a Nissan Sani, otherwise known as the Hardbody D21. I wonder if they have the same size engine bay/chassis?

Mettler, the Patrol is used to a straight six, so it shouldn't be a problem putting the VH45 in there, I would really like to know if it is possible with mine and Ronzer's vehicles.

Please forward any technical documentation that you have to [email protected], if you don't mind. I see that you have a lot of knowledge regarding this, so thanks for all your valuable input!!!

I have learned pretty much almost all information that I know about the VH engine series from the NICO forums, you've come to the right place.

Getting the exhaust to clear the steering shaft will be fun ! Radiator will be tight but this conversion is possible.

I'm in the process of replacing the motor in my Patrol. We're taking the body off, taking diesel oot and bolting VH45 to the Patrol trans. (auto) The thing that hasn't been decided is what body to put back on. I have a 3 door Terrano body sitting here (and of course a rather beat up Patrol cab) but it appears to be a very tight fit. One concern is the brake booster and as said the steering. This is a copetition truck so it has to be done right as it will be pushed real hard in very bad conditions.
