Curious... what is everyone using for bearings when they rebuild their VH motors? I've contacted Clevite and they no longer manufacture the Main and Thrust bearings for this motor, nor does Infiniti from what I can tell.

What are my options? I know this engine is popular in motorsports down under, what are my options for racing bearings (if any)

I believe napaonline.com should still have them. Try Hastings Mfg directly for rings.

I'm not so worried about the rings because the new pistons come with them. I wanted the clevite bearings because they've got a good reputation and they're tri-metal. Are Beck-Arnley bearings any good?

I've got NDCs, I read around a bit and people seem to be pretty happy with them.

I got the main and rod bearings from Infiniti, but they did take a while to get to me. Still need to get the thrust bearings ordered though.

I used bearings from Safety Auto Parts since I also got pistons from Safety. Not sure who the manufacturer of the thrust bearings were but I believe they came from Napa. The shop that put together my short block picked them up for me.

Safety has bearings, I think Rock does too. Clevite still makes VH main bearings, they are part number MS-2060P and only come in standard and .010". Thrust washer set is TW-597S. I just ordered 3 sets of mains and thrust at the first of december....... so who told you that they don't make them anymore?

Do you remember who you talked to?

I'm not 100%, but I think mahle-clevite only sells bearings to businesses at jobber prices, as in if you call them and say "I need 1 quantity of part number xxx" they will direct you to someone in your area with a clevite account . If they told you "no those aren't available", that might have been misconstrued as "they don't make them anymore"?

When did you call them? I'll call and see if I can get those part numbers from clevite tomorrow at work, and if I can, would you want me to get some for you?
