The tranyn doesnt bolt up... You have to have an adapter plate made, but the flywheel will bolt up to the engine, and the clutch will bolt to the flywheel...

i havent ever seen a factory Q45 as they were never sold hereim sorry i diddnt quite follow ur explanation

so 2 1/4" from manifold, and to seperate 2 1/4" pipes running down either side of the car? is that how u were meaning?

my mechanic said that with V8's its better to run into 1 pipe to get a good V8 sound, otherwise wont sound very deep nice V8 soundthat was the reason i was planning on running into 1 larger pipe

thanks for any info u can providematt

What im saying is it will be dual all the way until the rear muffler, in that it will go into a dual in, dual out single muffler..... It will look and sound real nice...

Be sure to hook yourself up with a nice X pipe or something cool like that!

thanks very much elwesso

does anybody here run into a single pipe for their exhaust (if so what sizes)?

i just wana grab as many opinions as i can so i can make the best decision

thanks guys

EDIT also what clutches do the manual guys here run??ive been getting sum prices, and approx was about 750$ for twin plate (that was for an EVO mitsi, but shud be similar approx)and i think i mite just get a 3 or 4 puck clutch instead, i think one with decent pressure plate shud be enuf for the V8, hope so anyways, (dont wana spend 750$ on clutch at this stage!!!!)

You juts want to use the 300ZX starter, as the Q45 starter bolts to the engine, and the Z32 starter bolts to the transmission..

oh right

im using the Vh45 bellhousing stilland a skyline gearbox chopped onto it

so i may have to cut a whole in the top of the bellhousing to fit the 300ZX starter motor by the sounds??

hmm, sounds like gona be abit of a mission?

do u use 300ZX gearbox with adapter plate? or shopped bellhousing?

thanks again

ID use a 300ZX transmission with the adapter plate..... youll also need a spacer, but everything else is bolt on, factory-esque.

tru

i allready got another box, and chopped bell-housingso gota use that

umm

starter motor fuk hope i dont have to push start it!!!

i think i will get a flywheel made to EXCACT same dimension as facorty flex plate so can use the VH45 starter

cos 300zx flywheel bit different outside size, and wont fit to ring gear

hope that works, otherwise mite be abit of a nightmare :S

Sell your skyline gearbox and get a 300zx manual gearbox!

Cheaper and i believe just as strong ??

Then get the adapter plate made up and get it made x2 ... and send one of them to me in OZ!

Money awaits my NZ friend

I've been in touch with Matt, he's trying to sell his setup, or swap it for a turbo Laurel. A little part of me died inside when I heard that.
