I've been working on finding a more affordable solution for replacing the ignition coil packs on the VH45. My dealership wants over $140.00 per coil pack = $1120 + $400 for the ignition sub-harnesses...

I am using VW ignition coil packs with special adapters that I made along with a custom harness. They will also bypass the ignition PTU (Ignitor Chip) So there again, I'm saving money, and removing out-dated technology that has a tendency to go bad!

I have 2 other prototype sets available. I do not have the harnesses made up yet (But soon). If you are interested please EMAIL me or PM me!

If you want to purchase the 8 adapters (with hardware), 8 ignition coils, 8 connector pigtails and wire it up yourself. They are available for $440+shipping and PayPal fees. I'm also working with Wiring Specialties to come up with all new engine harnesses and sub-harnesses for the VH45DE!

Also these will not clear the OEM coil pack covers.

When it comes to the sub harness wiring... does this wire directly into the USDM computer with no problems...? Any pics of finished product or videos of it working?

I know this is thread necromancy but did anyone end up buying these? How did they work out after some years and mileage? Also can they be used on the VH41? I'm tied of the rough idle and would like to find a better replacement for the failure prone OEM units

Nevermind, after more research I think I'm going the LS2 coil route
