Well heres my toy, been building it for a couple of years now (and its still not compleate, haha). Its a 1989 nissan a31 cefiro that my father and i have fitted with a vh45de (dunno what year), it has a custom flywheel, quarter master 7.25inch twin plate clutch, tilton hydrolic release bearing, custom vh-w toyota box adapter, link ecu, 2.25inch primary exhaust going into a 3 inch single behind the gearbox, pod filter on 4inch intake (sounds awsome at 7000rpm). Its got the usuall suspention/ brake mods that the nissans have, half cage etc. When we dynoed it, it put out 221rwkw's or 295 bhp so i was fairly happy with that. So heres some random picks, didnt take many when we were building it so its mainly of when its been out and about. Enjoy. The beastEngine bayAt Pukekohe park raceway (Auckland,NZ)And burnout before a drag run at Meremere dragway (south of auckland)And some of my clutch/flywheel/adapter setupAnd a vid of 6500rpm down the main straight at pukekohe. Cheers guys, there isnt much else to tell about it engine wise, it still uses standard exhaust manifolds shortened to fit inside the chassie rails. The suspention is BC 16 way adjustable coilovers, custom made front caster, rear toe/camber arms, type 'M' Skyline brakes with semi carbon pads and sloted disks up front.Heres some more pics and a vid, ill take some decent engine bay and gearbox shots when the camera is charged up.And another drag burnout (got pissed off cause it didnt get any traction so i did bigger skids!) http://s111.photobucket.com/al...1.flv

You've got insurance? Woah you must have taken a big hit to the wallet for that!! >_<

I had insurance quoted up for me and it was gonna be over $2k premium, $3k crash excess, and $6k theft excess!!!!

I noticed you have your bonnet spaced up at the back... gutted, weren't you able to get the engine low enough when you made the mounts? Mine closes, but only just... the filler cap and one of the idle control valve lines just touch the bonnet... lol

Heh I know what you mean about other people's projects... there's a few people who get stuck into that :p I'm helping my mate shoehorn a VH41DE into a UC Sunbird at the moment, they only weigh around 1200kg, should be a blast :D

Sweet as, when I get the motor back together & in I'll make a point of sussing out a good time for a visit, maybe a bit of a drag eh?

Na mate cheap as, http://www.classiccover.co.nz/ , was $320nz full cover for 12 months, agreed value, catch is no more then 4500kms a year so i just disconnect the speedo when i go racing. Dont mind about the other projects too much, gives me a break from my own for a while. I think with the plans you got for your moter ill being losing any race.

Well its been a while since ive posted on here, still been surfing the forum checking things out. Update time, decided that i didnt need so many cars so put the cefiro up for sale, rolling body, as i just couldnt (and the old boy would let me) part with the vh out of her and i have had an s13 for a long time (first car) that was sitting in one of the sheds collecting dust, so didnt take much thought to come up with an easy solution, vh45+s13=fun. Going away from the track/drift/drag sort of thing and building more of a nice tidy street car that can still be takin to the track to have her legs streched ocassionally. Oh and after i sold the cefiro took it to work to get a wof (6 monthly saftey check for the non new zealanders), let the boss take it for one last blast, this is what was left after we dragged it out of the bush when he lost it. Left gaurd, both doors, rear quarter, front screen, boot lid, tail light and destroyed the left sill. On the upside my boss now owns a slightly bent cefiro shell.

Now to the s13, havent really done a great deal to it yet, was already 5 stud with the big skyline brakes so just swapped all the suspention and now ill start on the engine bay.Got a full 180sx front end for it so im going to convert it to onevia and repaint her while im at it, theres a wilwood pedal box and bias adjuster that i was going to put into the cefiro lying around so that should find its way onto the s13 aswell.

Got the vtc hooked up now, that top pick is like 2 years old, gained 20hp by hooking it up and leaning out the top end of the tune.

So if I said my truck is insured at an agreed value of $30k, full cover no restrictions and everything is listed down to ECU and turbo etc etc and it is about $650 per year and has a standard $500 excess!!

I also know what you mean about other projects. I have a mate turning up on Saturday to get a cage built and I have another mates Patrol sitting out the back waiting for him to buy a VH45 to go into that as well! Nothing like having a complete set of spares in the pits when you are racing.

As long as it is a 4x4 and you below to an affiliated club then it is available. I even have windscreen cover as long as I'm not racing!!! With the sh*t we play with you have to go to a specialist insurer to get a realistic cover. It helps if you have a comp license or belong to a club. My company is an agent for Lumleys insurance and yet this is a Lumleys policy and we can't sell it! It is a case of talking to the right person and you'll get the right answer.
